    Circle your calendars for March. Zanotto’s Family Market says they will replace the now-defunct Foxworthy Foods on the corner of Cherry & Foxworthy, with their new store planning to open sometime this Spring.

  • Bird & Minnesota Zanotto’s Officially Coming to WG

    The Albertson’s at Bird & Minnesota/Alma closed in 2006, with the empty promise of a new Fresh & Easy opening there someday, after crushing Zanotto’s hopes of opening in that location. The Safeway at Almaden & Curtner departed this past January with similarly high hopes. But, alas nothing.

    And speaking of great streets in Willow Glen, WGx is happy to observe that the long-for-sale home on the “corner” of Dry Creek Road & Cherry Avenue appears to have finally sold. It’s been on-and-off the market since WGx first spotted it nearly 18 months ago.

  • Minnesota east of Settle Severed Arm on Minnesota?

    Already, WGx has discovered a few garish displays, including the “Bodega Bay Inn” on (Minnesota east of Settle), and another display across the street on the Kotenberg. While these are pretty good, it should be noted that the first display uncovered by WGx was on Curtner, east of Cottle.

  • Meridian and Willow Where Can You Find Wi-Fi in WG?

    Another list called WiFiAreas.com also seems promising – if you can navigate the ads – telling of free internet available at the Almaden Road McDonalds (confirmed by McDonald’s website) and at Yagos Gelato shop on Meridian and Willow.
