Retired San Jose autoworker dies in fire that gutted two-story East Side home
Hours after firefighters controlled the three-alarm blaze, his body was removed from the gutted home in the 750 block of North White Road near Penitencia Creek County Park. Firefighters waited to enter the house because most of the roof collapsed, making the structure unstable.

San Jose police identify suspect, victim in homicide on Hamilton Avenue
Reposa was taken into custody near the scene of the slaying on Hamilton Avenue near San Tomas Aquino Road, according to police. The dead man was identified as 44-year-old Robin Oreglia. He was the San Jose's 22nd homicide victim of 2009.

San Jose police identify suspect, victim in homicide on Hamilton Avenue
Officers were called at 11:20 a.m. Thursday to a convenience store on the 4100 block of Hamilton in the west part of town. When they arrived at the scene they were met by a woman who told them she had killed someone, Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

Victim In Possible Domestic Incident ID'd in San Jose
Carol Reposa, 42, of San Jose, was arrested in connection with the death of Robin Oreglia, 44, also of San Jose. According to Sgt. Ronnie Lopez, Reposa entered a store in the 4100 block of Hamilton Avenue at about 11:20 a.m. and said she had killed someone.
