San Jose native puts the area's history and future on murals in the downtown
Yet, Gouveia is best known for his murals around his hometown and as far away as Japan and Oregon. His latest creation is more than 90 feet long and two stories high in downtown San Jose at the back of a parking lot on South Second Street, between Santa Clara and San Fernando streets.

San Jose native puts the area's history and future on murals in the downtown
This is his second mural in downtown San Jose, joining one he did in 2007 near 50 N. First St. That one was much smaller, 12 by 8 feet, which he describes as more organic and less representational.
